Lancashire’s new food tourism initiative centred in the very beautiful Ribble Valley.
Our tours and events will give you access to many of our unique and wonderful local food and drink producers, many of which are featured in the award winning Ribble Valley Food Trail and beyond.
We take you to meet producers who only allow limited access to the general public or do not provide in depth tasting's and demonstrations to the casual visitor.

For an alternative day out come ‘up North’!
Grab some friends, family or colleagues and come and uncover some of Lancashire’s best kept food and drink secrets. Set amongst the rolling hills and pastureland of the beautiful Ribble Valley and the wild rugged fells of the Forest of Bowland, an area of outstanding natural beauty. You will be amazed as to the delicacies being produced and for whom!
Learn new skills and flavours in outstanding countryside
You may find yourself feeding calves or lambs, candling eggs, beekeeping, cheese making, or learning how to fillet fish, make butter, milk sheep, perhaps even try your hand at hedge laying!
Discover the UK’s top Chefs northern secrets
Each tour takes you behind the scenes to many of North Lancashire's top food and drink artisan producers, many supplying Michelin Chefs, Waitrose, Morrisons, Harvey Nichols, our own Northern chain of local producer friendly supermarket s ‘Booths’, as well as top UK restaurants. They will talk to you about the realities of their lives as and why they produce what they do, so that you can understand their passion and dedication to supply you with the best produce the county has to offer.
Mix and match your visit to Lancashire
Group interests can also be catered for, be they a day’s food and drink tour followed by a cookery school, or a weekend/short break mix and match with other interests such as food festival visits, country pursuits, walking, cycling or historical sightseeing. During your tour you will also learn how the stunning fells and countryside of Lancashire are managed and why they are starting to attract more and more visitors.

August: Tuesday 2nd, Saturday 6th, Tuesday 9th, Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th takes Food Hero Tours into the Ribble Valley Food Festival Weekend where some of our producers will be participating on stands and events, Tuesday 16th.
